Welcome back to Marketing Qualified. We hope you’ve had a great week, and these marketing tips can be the cherry on top! Here’s what we’re covering.
When should you send emails? According to new research, these are the best days and times to send marketing emails.
3 things to keep in mind the next time you’re creating content. Here are some quick tips for you.
⏰ When should you send emails?
HubSpot just dropped their latest email research, and we found the findings pretty interesting.
They asked marketers, “What's the best time to send an email?” The study showed that marketing emails sent between 9am - 12pm resulted in the highest engagement. Closely followed by emails sent between 12pm - 3pm.
And if you filter the results to only B2B, the 9am-12pm time slot pulls even further ahead, with over 47% of marketers reporting it as their most successful send time.
This makes sense when you think about the typical workday. Most people log on and check their email as they start the day. Then again after they come back after eating lunch.
The survey also asked which days of the week resulted in the best email engagement. 27% of marketers said Tuesday, 19% said Monday, and 17% picked Thursday. Weekends were the least popular at 5% for Saturday and 4% for Sunday.
But wait, one caveat before you schedule all of your upcoming email sends for 9am on a Tuesday! As marketers, we all know the importance of testing and making data-backed decisions. Use this research as a solid jumping-off point, but test the days and times you send emails for yourself. What works best for one company might not work best for another.
For example, we’ve extensively tested what day and time to send this newsletter. We’ve found that sending early on Friday mornings results in the most engagement from our readers.
So find what works best for your company, and happy sending!
