Your AI prompts are leaving out 80% of what you're thinking.
When you type a prompt, you summarize. When you speak one, you explain. Wispr Flow captures your full reasoning (constraints, edge cases, examples, tone) and turns it into clean, structured text you paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI tool. The difference shows up immediately. More context in, fewer follow-ups out.
Used by teams at Microsoft, Amazon, and Notion. Try Wispr Flow free on Mac, Windows, iPhone, and Android.
Happy Thursday. Today's theme: you don't fully control what the machines say about your brand, and nobody agrees on who should. AI engines mostly quote other people, ad platforms keep widening the B2B toolbox, and plenty of sites ignore the reject button. Let's get into it.
1. AI answers cite other people's content about you, not your own
Muck Rack's October "What Is AI Reading?" report, built on more than 40 million AI responses and 207 million citations, found that over 84% of citations come from earned and third-party sources. Owned media made up 15.2%, and paid or advertorial content just 0.3%. Journalism's share slid from 27% in May to 22%, mostly because of ChatGPT. The sleeper stat: when Muck Rack ran the same prompt twice in one day, ChatGPT repeated only 41% of its cited domains (Gemini 45%, Perplexity 94%).
Why it matters: If you report AI visibility from a single prompt run, you are reporting noise. Run each tracked prompt several times, report the median, and keep PR and earned coverage on the budget line. Note that Muck Rack sells PR tooling, so read the earned-media conclusion with that in mind. Source: GlobeNewswire, Oct 28
2. Fibr AI launches a way to serve different pages to different AI agents
Fibr AI launched Agent Experience Optimization (AXO), which detects which AI platform or agent is visiting a site and adapts the structure and depth of existing content for it. On Fibr's own site, 102 agent-ready pages averaged 114 AI citations a day in the first week of October, up from 41 in the first launch week. The release lists no customer results for AXO.
Why it matters: This is the owned-content counterweight to story one. It also raises a real question: Google's spam policies have long treated showing different content to bots and people as cloaking. 3. 43% of top US sites fail basic privacy tests, and reject buttons often do nothing
DataTrue tested 242 of the most visited US sites across retail, healthcare, banking, higher ed and media. It reported that 43% failed its core privacy tests, 76% of sites with ad tracking did not fully honor the Global Privacy Control signal, and on 20 of 24 sites with a clear reject button, ad companies were still contacted after a visitor clicked it. DataTrue sells tag testing, and the reject-button finding rests on just 24 sites.
Why it matters: Marketing usually owns the tag manager and the pixels, so this exposure lands on your desk, whoever signed the consent platform contract. Audit what fires after "reject" on your top templates before a regulator does it for you. Source: Business Wire, Oct 28
4. LinkedIn's CTV ads are now buyable through Google's Display & Video 360
LinkedIn opened programmatic access to its Connected TV offering through Google's DV360. B2B teams can pair LinkedIn's professional targeting with streaming inventory and plan, activate and measure inside existing programmatic workflows. For now it is limited to US targeting and goes through LinkedIn and Google account reps.
Why it matters: If you already run DV360, you can test job-title-informed CTV without a new platform. It's early and rep-gated, so expect a pilot, not a self-serve launch. Source: LinkedIn News, via Social Media Examiner
5. Reddit adds Campaign Planner, optimization scores and automated budgets
Reddit is rolling out a Campaign Planner that combines forecasting with community engagement data, an optimization score with tailored recommendations, and automated budget allocation that shifts spend toward better-performing ad groups. The updates are landing through October, with budget optimization across multiple campaign objectives.
Why it matters: Reddit keeps copying the Google and Meta playbook, which lowers the effort to test it for B2B. Treat the optimization score as a suggestion engine, not a verdict. Source: Reddit for Business
6. Guideline puts US ad pricing data inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot
Guideline announced that US digital pricing by publisher, ad type and programmatic marketplace will be queryable through its MCP server starting October 30, with a Programmatic Direct buy-channel view due December 15. Its data covers roughly $200 billion in annual media spend across 65 countries. Access varies by subscription.
Why it matters: Planners will soon ask an assistant what a deal should cost and get a benchmark back. Make sure someone confirms the buy channel and month behind any CPM before it shows up in a negotiation. Source: PR Newswire, Oct 28
That's the issue. Run your prompts five times, click your own reject button, and we'll see you tomorrow.
