Is LinkedIn trying to be TikTok? LinkedIn just launched a short form vertical video feed in their app.
✍️ 3 quick copywriting tips.
Here are three simple and quick concepts you can implement to make your marketing copy stronger.
1) Increase the timeframe.
Want the number on a marketing asset to feel bigger? Increase the timeframe to increase the impact.

Side note: some experts actually estimate that the average adult will spend 34 years of their life looking at screens 🤯. Yikes! Maybe we should all go outside and take a walk after this.
2) Use puns.
Puns (when done well) can help you capture attention and enhance your message in a clever way.

3) Say what you’re not.
Telling your audience what you’re not is as important as telling them what you are. It sets expectations and builds credibility.

🤔 Is LinkedIn trying to be TikTok?
In case you haven’t heard yet, LinkedIn has been testing a short form video feed inside the app.
This follows in the footsteps of many other social platforms like YouTube and Instagram trying the same thing.
The feature is still in beta, but you can find it under the new “Video” tab.

Users have always been able to post videos on LinkedIn, but this is a new feed dedicated to vertical video posts only.
Many influencers have built massive followings on TikTok using short form vertical videos. Clearly, LinkedIn is trying to encourage their users to build an audience on its platform in a similar way.
Will LinkedIn be the best place to post B2B short form content soon? Or will TikTok remain the leader for all types of short form content? It will be interesting to see.
What do you think of this new feature? Do you plan on using it as a viewer or posting videos on it? Let us know. We’re super curious!
